The Minister of Health has announced the details of a new mental health facility planned for Christchurch
There's been an increase in people suffering mental health issues since the Canterbury Earthquakes.
Currently, many patients remain at Princess Margaret Hospital - which has been criticised by staff and patients for being in a state of disrepair.
Minister Jonathan Coleman says there is a compelling case for services to be relocated to the Hillmorton Hospital Campus.
Two options have been put forward - with the different combinations of rebuild and refurbishment costing up to $57 million.
It will be built within three years.
