Police are investigating claims a protester was assaulted by officers at Auckland's Pride Parade last night.
The colourful parade went along Ponsonby Road last night, dazzling spectators with bright costumes, floats and entertainers.
But all was apparently not rosy for some.
Police are looking into alleged injuries sustained by a protester, and will review footage of an incident as part of their inquiry.
A spokesman for the group 'No Pride in Prisons' claims three protesters were assaulted by police, including a woman who says she was thrown to the ground.
There was just one arrest at last night's Pride Parade in Auckland, for an alleged breach of the peace.
Police have no plans to lay charges.
The person in question is not believed to be part of a group No Pride In Prisons.
