A Christchurch man rushed to hospital yesterday after suffering a back injury on Sumner's Monster Slide, is questioning its safety.
Aidrian West was hospitalised after someone knocked him backwards at the bottom of the slide - injuring his head and shifting his spine two millimetres.
He says he saw lots of people getting hurt as safety didn't seem to be much of a priority.
Dozens of people have posted on social media saying they're seeking a refund from organisers.
Meanwhile, a Christchurch City Councillor's pushing for a full Council debrief following the disastrous Monster Slide yesterday.
Hagley/Ferrymead Councillor Yani Johanson says the problems began with the lack of notification to residents.
