A streaker at the weekend's Crusaders-Hurricanes rugby match has been fined 300-dollars in the Christchurch District Court.

19-year-old Jayden Nicholl faced police charges for his naked run at Saturday night's semi-final.

He made almost the full length of AMI Stadium.

The prosecution noted a number of families were at the game, for the "Take a Kid to the Footy".

Nicholl reportedly told the court that he had streaked in order to honour a friend who had passed away.

Nicholl has also been trespassed from AMI Stadium for two-years.
