Two Christchurch businesses have been targeted by burglars overnight, just minutes apart.
Police first responded to a report of a burglary at a commercial premises on the corner of Woodham Rd and Gloucester St at around 1.50am.
Police caught up to two people involved in the incident not long after.
One person was referred to Te Pai Oranga, and another has been referred to Youth Aid.
A short time later, at around 2am, police responded to reports of a burglary at a commercial premises on Marshland Rd.
Early inquiries show items were taken.
Police did not say if the incidents were linked and continue to investigate the matter.
