Updated 2.26pm: Despite social media's best efforts, All Black captain Richie McCaw will play in the Rugby World Cup final this Sunday morning.
World Rugby has confirmed that there were no citings to emerge from the All Blacks' semi-final again South Africa.
The official who passed the news also said that that McCaw's contact with Springbok flanker Francois Louw was with the hip and not the elbow.
Radio Sport rugby editor Nigel Yalden said even if McCaw had been cited, he would have got off at the judiciary.
However Yalden said the common sense decision from World Rugby means the All Blacks don't have to waste time and money defending their skipper on what would have been a frivolous charge.
