
Police are investigating the discovery of a body in a Northland reserve this morning.
Waitematā District Senior Sergeant Dean Robert confirmed the body had been found in Lincoln St Reserve on the waterfront in Mangawhai.
Police are not treating the death as suspicious, and it will be referred to the coroner.
Police were prioritising notifying the next of kin.
Five police officers are at the scene, and the Waitematā District Crime Squad is expected to arrive to undertake further inquiries.

A blue gazebo has been erected over a portion of shrubbery that is a few metres from the reserve carpark.
Cordons are in place, blocking access to the carpark and a large area around the gazebo.
