Bellbird sightings have Hamilton bird lovers singing with joy.
A male Bellbird has been spotted by a bird watcher in trees in a Hamilton gully.
Landcare researcher Neil Fitzgerald says it's the first credible sighting they've had in Hamilton for years.
He says it's exciting to not only hear but also see this shy bird.
