Auckland now has 26 suburbs where the average house value is more than a million dollars...while in the rest of the country there are none.

Herne Bay is close to reaching the 2 million dollar mark with a 1.91 million dollar average.

Neighbouring St Mary's is the second most expensive suburb, and Remuera comes third.

Ten of the suburbs are on the North Shore, 14 in central Auckland and two in Manukau.
