Travellers are facing ongoing disruption after fog at Auckland Airport this morning saw 23 flights cancelled and at least 10 others delayed.

Fog restrictions were put in place at 6.36am and were lifted at 9.24am, the airport said.

“Approximately 23 domestic regional flights were cancelled, and 9 domestic regional flights were delayed, due to the fog.

“Two domestic flights to Wellington, Christchurch and Queenstown have been delayed due to fog.”

Air New Zealand flight 001 from New York was also delayed because of the fog but has now landed.
