A million dollars worth of methamphetamine has been found in a parcel containing powdered soup packets destined for an address in Wellington.
Operation Vector, a joint investigation between police and New Zealand customs has resulted in the arrest of an 18-year old Chinese man living in New Zealand on a visitors Visa.
Detective Senior Sergeant Tim Leitch says the methamphetamine was well disguised.
"It looked like just a normal soup packet but inside that was the.. pretty well hidden..the methamphetamine"
An 18 year-old Chinese man on a residency visa will appear in court on Friday charged with class A drug offences.
