A deed of settlement has been signed with Te Atiawa in New Plymouth today.
It includes an apology and redress for the Crown's actions, including disruptive land purchasing practices, war causing severe hardship and loss of life, and the confiscation of land.
The Treaty settlement package includes financial and commercial redress of $87 million.
