Another Friday afternoon code brown at Invercargill's Splash Palace may just be a coincidence.

For the last five Fridays in a row the pool complex has had to be cleared following incidents with floaters.

Despite heightened vigilance, it's happened again.

Splash Palace manager, Pete Thompson says today's offending excrement is likely from a toddler, or small child.

"It's a minuscule amount, like the size of a ten cent piece. We've had to clear that pool and do some spot-dosing with chemicals."

The pool will be back open just after five.

The offender has previously struck at 5pm - today's was about 45 minutes early.
