The Crusaders unbeaten run in 2017 has come to an end, as the Lions snagged their second win of the tour - and their first against a Super Rugby team after a disappointing loss to the Blues on Wednesday night.
The Lions held a 9-3 lead at the break after three penalties off the boot of Owen Farrell, before Farrell added another in the second half to cap off a gritty win.
The final score was 12-3 to the Lions, in a try-less match.
It wasn't pretty to watch, but coach Warren Gatland will be delighted with the result.
Crusaders Captain Sam Whitelock says his team struggled to handle the Lions' differing style of play.Â
The Lions' next game is against the Highlanders in Dunedin, on the 13th of June.
