Rural health is in crisis and advocates want Government action.
People in rural communities face wait times of up to weeks or have to travel elsewhere if they need to see a doctor.
The National Rural Health Alliance says GPs are exceeding the recommended number of people they can enrol in practices - which are under-staffed.
Its chief executive Michelle Thompson said government help is needed to better resource rural health.
She said the 600 thousand people who live rurally need to trust they can get help when they need it.
Ms Thompson said more medical professionals are needed as well as better online health services.
