Plans to regulate vaping and smokeless tobacco products.
The Associate Health Minister has announced plans to amend the Smoke-free Environments Act 1990, to include nicotine and nicotine-free vaping liquid and smokeless tobacco products.
The proposed changes include banning vaping in places like schools, bars, and workplaces, and changing the way vaping products are displayed in stores.
Jenny Salesa says this is about supporting smokers switching to safer products that will help them quit.
But she says these products aren't risk-free, and it's also important to protect young people from taking them up.
