A Hamilton party goer who went outside to throw up needed to be rescued from the banks of the Waikato River late last night.
Emergency Services were called to a house on River Road at 11pm after the 26-year-old man had fallen down a 10-15 metre bank.
Fire-fighters got the man into a stretcher and a police boat picked him up.
Senior Sergeant Tim Anderson says the man had been at a party and appears to have felt the need to go outside to be sick.
He says he went one tree too far and fell down a bank seriously injuring himself.
