A forum will be held at the Rotorua District Council this week to discuss the issue of homelessness in the city.

It's being hosted by the Rotorua Community Night Shelter Trust to identify the level and scope of the homeless problem.

Council's night shelter coordinator, Amy Duckett, says the forum will look at services that are currently available for the homeless, and identify any gaps in the system.
