There's a chance a significant and historic building in Hamilton can be saved.
The Hamilton East Community Trust has been awarded 38-thousand dollars to try saving Euphrasie House from demolition.
It was built in 1939, and used as a hostel for students at Sacred Heart College up till last year.
The full cost of saving it will be in excess of $50,000.
Trust chairman Lois Livingston says it's the largest amount of funding to a single group for a number of years.
