Undeterred by Sabrina Carpenter’s scathing remarks last week, the White House has used a clip of her in another video promoting deportation. 

In a post shared to X on Friday, the White House clipped a video of Carpenter and Saturday Night Live’s Marcello Hernandez referencing one of her recurring tour segments, the Independent reported. 

The clip was filmed to promote Carpenter’s hosting duties back in October but has now been repurposed into a hardline ad against illegal immigrants. 

While Carpenter cracked “I think I might need to arrest someone for being too hot” in the original, the White House version has been edited to swap out “too hot” for “illegal”. 

Hernandez is the son of immigrants from Cuba and the Dominican Republic, according to People. 

His response “well, I turn myself in” was followed by clips of detainments across the US. 

Carpenter has been in a war of words with the administration since December 1, when her song Juno was used in a similar Immigration and Customs Enforcement (Ice) video, People reports. 

Captioned “have you ever tried this one? Bye-bye“, the video similarly compiled clips of Ice officers detaining alleged criminals. 

She blasted the federal agency’s use of her music in a response on X, which has since been liked 1.8 million times. 

“This video is evil and disgusting. Do not ever involve me or my music to benefit your inhumane agenda,” she wrote. 

While the video was deleted shortly after, White House spokesperson Abigail Jackson responded to Carpenter’s comment in a statement, making a biting reference to the singer’s recent single Manchild. 

“Here’s a Short n’ Sweet message for Sabrina Carpenter: we won’t apologize for deporting dangerous criminal illegal murderers, rapists, and paedophiles from our country. Anyone who would defend these sick monsters must be stupid, or is it slow?”
