Marcus Lush has been on the airwaves for over thirty years, and by this point he knows his listeners pretty well.
Pete called in to give his thoughts on why New Zealanders waste their money buying bottled water at the supermarket, but upon hearing he was waiting for his fish and chips order, Marcus decided to try guess what he bought.
“How much did it cost you? $17?”
“Little bit more than that, pretty close Mark, pretty close.”
After successfully getting the price range, Marcus went for the full order.
“You’d have a bit of fish, you’d have half a scoop of chips, and then you’d have something like a battered sausage and a pineapple ring as well,” he guessed.
“You’re 100% correct,” Pete said to Marcus’ astonishment.
“You’re joking!”
“That’s my best moment in radio.”
