The prolific and highly successful American TV producer Glen A. Larson has died.
He was the creator of top-rating series Battlestar Galactica, Magnum, P.I., and Quincy, M.E.
His career in TV began when he was a writer for The Fugitive, later starting as a producer with the series It Takes A Thief, later moving on to Knight Rider and others.
He was also a chart-topping singer, as a member of the 1950s and 60s group the Four Preps. Their hits included Big Man, 26 Miles, and Down By The Station.
Glen A. Larson died of cancer in a California medical centre aged 77.
