TV and film actor Edward Herrmann has died at the age of 71.
His family says he'd been battling brain cancer and was hospitalised in New York for the past three weeks.
Herrmann is best known for his role in the Gilmore Girls which ran between 2000 and 2007.
His film roles include The Lost Boys and The Aviator.
