UPDATED 2.14pm: Amal Clooney has gone straight back to work after her marriage to George Clooney and is now in Athens to advise the government on the Elgin Marbles.

The 36-year-old lawyer was accompanied by archaeologist David Hill, who has spearheaded a campaign for the return of the sculptures.

They were taken from the Parthenon by Lord Elgin in 1803 and have been a bone of contention between the British and Greek governments for decades.
