A second aerial search for a missing man at a west Auckland beach has turned up nothing.
The 23-year-old was swimming at O'Neills Bay at Bethells Beach yesterday when he was swept away.
Police have conducted two coastal flybys today - the last just before 1 o'clock.
Maritime police boats are still out on the water, for what officers say is now likely a recovery mission.
