A person has died in a crash in the Christchurch suburb of Burwood.

Emergency services were called to the scene on Queen Elizabeth II Drive at around 9:15.

Another person received minor injuries

The road is currently closed between Burwood Road and Marshlands Road.

Emergency services are in attendance.
