A 21-year-old motorcyclist has died from a crash in Morrinsville early this morning.

Emergency services were called to the scene at the Hutchinson Rd and Walton Rd intersection at 6am.

The Puketutu man died as a result of his injuries.

There were no other vehicles or persons involved.

Police were now appealing for any witnesses who saw or heard a motorcycle travelling on Hutchinson Road between 5.30am and 6am to contact the Matamata Police.

The Serious Crash Unit attended the scene of the crash and are currently still investigating.
