A fire has ripped through part of a school in East Auckland this afternoon.
A Fire Service spokesman says six fire trucks were called to a blaze at Edgewater College in Pakuranga just after five o'clock.
He says the fire has now been put out, but the extent of the damage isn't known.
The cause of the blaze is being investigated by fire safety officers..
