A flock of ducklings have caused a four car crash in Christchurch's east.
A driver stopped on the corner of Queen Elizabeth II Drive and Marshland Road at around midday to let the ducklings pass.
His action resulted in the crash.
Fairfax reports a Police spokesman described it as "a minor nose to tail crash caused by someone stopping for the ducks."
"The first two cars stopped and a third car has rammed up the back of the second car."
No-one was injured and the ducklings crossed safely.
