Several lanes of Auckland’s Southern Motorway are blocked after a truck and car crash during the morning rush hour.

Police said they were called to the crash between a car and a truck at 6.43am.

“The car has rolled, with one person suffering moderate injuries.”

The motorway is down to one lane northbound near the Princes St off-ramp in Ōtāhuhu.

Police advised motorists to expect “extensive delays”.

NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi (NZTA) said lanes two to four are blocked following the accident.

“Pass with caution and expect delays in the area. Please follow the directions of emergency services.”
