The Ministry of Education has stepped in to help a struggling Christchurch primary school.
It's appointed a Limited Statutory Manager to work with St Marks Board of Trustees to assess the situation at the school and agree on an action plan.
This comes after reports surfaced that parents were concerned about the operation of the Opawa primary school.
While the Statutory Manager wont replace the board of trustees, they're vested with the same powers and will work with the board specifically on staffing.
