Middle-aged women looking for love on Christian dating websites are being targeted by scammers.
Police are investigating 11 cases where five New Zealand women have been duped by men they met online.
Constable Grant Kenny says the men aren't asking for money.
Instead, they persuade the women to have goods delivered to their homes and then send the items overseas.
"That's how they're doing it and they basically suck these women in. They send packing slips out so it's not costing them any money and these women say they're in love with these men and they're doing it to help them out."
Police say the items have been purchased on stolen credit cards.
They are asking anyone who has been targeted to get in touch.
