Police have made two more arrests after the stabbing and robbery of a Manurewa liquor store owner.

Neighbours came to the aid of the man on Sunday who was attacked in a car park. He's still in Middlemore Hospital in a stable condition recovering from his wounds.

A 19 year old was arrested on the night, and now a 16 and 18 year old have been jointly charged with aggravated robbery, aggravated injury, and theft.

Police have expressed the hope that the arrests offer some degree of comfort to the victim.
