Police are hunting for two teenagers who held up a Mr Whippy ice cream truck at gunpoint this afternoon.
The youths approached the truck - parked on Hapimana Rd in Orakei - just after 3 this afternoon.
Inspector Kerry Watson says they brandished a small firearm and demanded money from a woman.
They fled on foot with a bag full of cash and credit cards.
They were last seen heading towards Mission Bay.
They are described as Maori youths aged between 15 and 18, both wearing light grey hoodies and one also had a green rain jacket.
