Another service station's been the target of a hold-up.

Two men went into the Caltex on Railway Ave in Lower Hutt just before 9,30 last night and threatened the sole attendant with a large knife.

They grabbed cash and cigarettes before running off across Railway Ave and down Aglionby Street where they were seen getting into a dark coloured sedan.

A witness saw them drive to the end of the street and turn left onto Bridge Street.

Senior Sergeant Marc Clausen says they were both wearing dark hooded sweatshirts, and one had a red bandana across his face.
