Convicted murderer and rapist Liam Reid has been granted legal aid to again appeal his conviction.
Reid was jailed for life for raping and murdering deaf Christchurch woman Emma Agnew in 2007, as well as the rape and attempted murder of a 21-year-old student in Dunedin nine days later.
In 2009, the Court of Appeal reduced Reid's minimum non-parole period from 26 years to 23 years.
But an appeal against his conviction was rejected by the Supreme Court in 2012.
Reid's lawyer Chris Tennet says he's been granted legal aid to work on lodging another appeal.
