Two people are seriously injured in hospital after a Hamilton robbery, with police now hunting for those responsible.

Emergency services were called to an address on Tuhikaramea Rd, Dinsdale, at around 9.45pm last night after reports of a group of people entering the premises and demanding cash and personal items.

Detective Senior Sergeant Scott Neilson said two people were seriously injured and taken to hospital.

A 17-year-old was arrested following the incident and will appear before the Youth Court in due course, said Neilson.

Inquiries are ongoing to find the other parties involved.

Neilson said police would like to speak to anyone who might have information about the incident or those involved.
