Two last minute synthetic cannabis robbers have been sentenced in the Christchurch District Court today.
19-year-old Isaiah Herbert and 31-year-old Marcus Hatcher pleaded guilty to the aggravated robbery of an R-18 store on Stanmore Road, 40 minutes before Parliament banned synthetic cannabis.
They made off with $300 and 25 packs of cannabis, leaving behind a third man who’s never been found.
Though Hatcher was the getaway driver, he was already facing two other burglary charges and was found with LSD when remanded in custody.
He was sentenced to two years, five months.
Isaiah Herbert was given three years, five months for his role in the robbery.
