A Christchurch child killer will remain behind bars after being denied parole because of his high risk of violent offending.
Peter Ryder killed his partner's son in 1994, and was twice granted parole but was recalled to prison after a short-time.
In its latest decision the Parole Board determined Ryder needed to take steps to address his aggression and impulsiveness before parole could be considered again.
