UPDATED 4:52pm: Pictures and poems have been uploaded onto an on-line tribute page for the one year old baby at the centre of a homicide investigation in Christchurch.

Aaliyah Ashlyn Chand died in Christchurch Hospital's ICU on Wednesday night, after being admitted with severe head injuries the night before.

She'd been taken to A and E by a baby-sitter

The page describes Aaliyah as the loved and cherished daughter of Anjani and Dev.

They say the one year old was a little miracle, who will now be an angel in the sky watching over her family.
