A 19-year-old man has been charged with murder in relation to the death of a 22-year-old woman in the grounds of St Michaels School Rotorua last Friday.

The man was known to the victim, Lynace Parakuka, but police will not be commenting on the nature of their relationship.

They are not seeking anyone else in connection with the death.

The man will appear in Rotorua District Court tomorrow morning.
