The Ministry of Health released a statement saying there are 18 new community cases today, all in Auckland.

This brings the total outbreak to 1,165, 951 who have recovered.

2 of today's cases are yet to be epidemiologically linked to the current outbreak. The other 16 were all isolating at home or in MIQ.

12 cases are in hospital with 4 in ICU or HDU.

13,442 Covid-19 tests were processed in the last 24 hours, 4,498 were in Auckland.

51,472 vaccines were administered yesterday, 20,272 in Auckland. In total, 3.2 million people have had their first dose and 1.7 million have had their second dose.

Eight of yesterday’s 16 cases have exposure events.

Manukau's Chemist Warehouse and Unichem Pharmacy in Otara were added to the locations of interest list this morning.

New times have also been added for Mobil Glen Innes and Farro Epsom.

Residents in Upper Hauraki are again enjoying fewer restrictions, after moving into Alert Level 2 first thing this morning.
