Talk that part of Christchurch should stage its very own version of 'Brexit'.
Templeton residents feel ignored by the Christchurch City Council - and say they have a better relationship with the Selwyn District Council.
They say a 'Texit' will see them move under Selwyn's control.
Residents Association chair Garry Kilday says it started as a tongue-in-cheek comment.
But he says when they thought about it, they realised everything around them is controlled by the Selwyn District Council.
"We're getting better notifications, better liaisons and better reporting from Selwyn District Council."
Kilday says if you're not happy with your power or internet companies - you change them.
"The City Council is a service provider. It's supposed to provide us with water, it's supposed to provide us with health, safety, all of that stuff. They don't seem to care."
He feels that under Selwyn District Council, they'd have better bargaining power when it comes to upcoming decisions about quarries moving into their area.
