Police are reassuring the Christchurch community after a fight between rival gangs.

A number of outlaw motorbike gang members were involved in an altercation at Templeton's Mike Pero Motorsport Park yesterday.

Some ended up in hospital, with injuries ranging from moderate to serious.

Detective Senior Sergeant, Greg Cottam, says it was an isolated incident between two groups and didn't present a risk to the general public.

But he says the behaviour is concerning and they'd like to hear from anyone with any information to share.
