A doctor who carried out fake medical procedures on male patients so he could indecently assault them has had his registration cancelled.
Rakesh Chawdhry was working as a GP at Christchurch's Riccarton Clinic when he sexually abused 12 men, between 2011 and 2015.
He was jailed for more than four years.
The 62-year-old is now out on parole.
The Health Practitioners Disciplinary Tribunal has cancelled Chawdhry's registration and censured him.
He has also been ordered to undergo a sexual misconduct assessment test, if he ever returns to practising medicine.
