Women's fashion chain Shanton owes almost $4 million to about 220 unsecured creditors.
The company was placed into voluntary administration last week, with its credit facilities withdrawn and creditors demanding immediate payment of overdue accounts.
Administrator Bryan Williams is assuring preferential creditors IRD and Shanton employees that they will be paid outstanding entitlements.
He's told the first creditors meeting that he intends to formalise the company's reconstruction plan.
Mr Williams says Shanton customers continue to support the brand, with sales activity continuing to rise.
