A liquidator's report into celebrity chef Jo Seagar's defunct cooking school and cafe shows a major shortfall in the money needed to pay creditors.
Seagar and her husband Ross are joint directors of Winslow Trading Company. Its North Canterbury cafe went into liquidation in July.
Auckland liquidators Deloitte have received more than $500k worth of claims from creditors, the majority unsecured, in the past six months.
The liquidators arranged for the company's assets to be auctioned off, including two cars, which raised around $110,000.
But after auctioneers charges, and liquidators fees were accounted for, only $49,000 was left.
Jo Seagar did not respond to phone calls.
