The ANZ bank's merger with National has helped it to a whacking great profit.
The banking group has made a profit of $1.71 billion and the New Zealand part of the business lifted performance to give a cash profit of $1.68 billion.
That's up from $1.43 billion the previous year.
However, ANZ's bumper profits has led to calls for the bank to remember the workers who earned the success.
Green Party industrial relations spokesperson Denise Roche says those profits are coming at the expense of workers, who face low pay rises, and insecure working conditions.
"The fact that the COE earns $4.1 million a year while his workers are struggling to get a pay increase that covers the cost of living is just outrageous."
