APN NZ, The Radio Network and GrabOne have announced they're bringing together their brands under one name, NZME. - New Zealand Media and Entertainment.

The company - which owns The New Zealand Herald, radio stations including Newstalk ZB, a number of regional newspapers, digital platforms and other print publications - says the move is designed to maximise the group's combined asset potential.

CEO Jane Hastings says they have exceptional reach in the New Zealand market, with 2.9 million people connecting with our brands every week.

"As NZME. we will be able to leverage that advantage to more effectively connect advertisers with audiences across the country."

But she says the names of publications, websites and radio stations won't be changing.

"While APN NZ and The Radio Network will become NZME., our much loved brands donâ t change.

"For example GrabOne is still GrabOne, Newstalk ZB is still Newstalk ZB and The New Zealand Herald is still The New Zealand Herald.

"Only where you had previously seen 'APN NZ' or 'TRN' will you now see 'NZME.'."

Jane Hastings says the move will bring all of the company's platforms together to clearly establish NZME. as the preferred news, sport and entertainment destination for New Zealanders, and help connect advertisers with audiences.
