Multi-car crash on Auckland's Southwestern Motorway causes delays

A crash involving several vehicles on Auckland's Southwestern Motorway is blocking a lane and will cause delays.

The crash, reported at 6.40am, was blocking the right northbound lane just before the Portage Rd overbridge.

The crash means the motorway is down to one lane.

NORTHERN MOTORWAY

Citybound: heavy between Oteha Valley Rd and Upper Harbour Hwy, then moderate and heavy to Onewa Rd.

Northbound: Free flowing.

SOUTHERN MOTORWAY

Citybound: Heavy through Papakura and moderate to heavy between Te Irirangi Dr and Mt Wellington.

Southbound: Free flowing.

NORTHWESTERN MOTORWAY

Citybound: Heavy between Hobsonville Rd and Royal Rd.

Westbound: Free flowing.

Waterview Tunnel Southbound: Free flowing.
